Description

The Computer Science Academic Society

You may be wondering, what is the CS Society?

We like to imagine it as a community, who want to study, learn, and develop themselves and their skills with other like minded people and collaborate through events, competitions, and socials.

You ask another question, "Why have I not heard of the Computer Science Society before?", and that is a good question. The CS Society has just been started and born into existence on October 2025.  As a young and upcoming society, we want to try and give any and every oppurtunity to students whether it be in the form of weekly sessions and workshops, localised competitions, or networking sessions.

The Goal

The goal of this society really depends on who you ask. If you ask the committee, all we want is:

  • Be a fun and active society,
  • Give members something that they can take to the job market,
  • Build something that future CS Students can inherit.

Fairly simple from us, but for you? It can be anything and everything. We, not just as the committee but as the society, want anyone to be able to join and find something they love and to tinker and really learn how it works.

Who is this society for?

The short answer is anyone and the long answer is anyone. By that we mean, whether you are a CS student or a branch of CS or even just have an interest in anything tech, we want this society to be here for YOU. So if you have a passion for tech or learning, join us!
