Before January 2025 the closing times for many of the Hendon campus buildings was 11pm. It has since been changed to 10pm! This change was unexpected, poorly communicated and unwelcome. The earlier closing time means certain societies will have to end earlier and students who need to utilise the farcicalities (outside of the Shepards library) will have 1 hour less to get their work done. It is an unfair change that doesn't seem to serve any proper purpose other than saving the university a few hours pay for security guards. It makes completing course work harder and shortens the time students have for socializing on campus after classes. I propose this change gets reversed and the closing times for Vine, Ravens Feild, Grove, and College building be reestablished at 11pm.
