NSS 2024: The Best Results Yet


 

Earlier this year, eligible final-year students at Middlesex University took part in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2024. This annual survey is an opportunity for students to share their experiences and opinions about their time at university, and the feedback gathered is essential in shaping the future of higher education at Middlesex.
 

We are happy to share that this is our best year ever for student satisfaction. MDX is now ranked 10th in the UK for overall student positivity in their studies, and 4th in London for helping students develop skills for the future. This is an amazing achievement reflecting the collective efforts of our students, faculty, and staff. 
 

As your Students’ Union, we want to thank you for participating and sharing your experience here at MDX. Your feedback helps us better understand your needs and better your student experience.

We have exceeded the Office for Students (OfS) benchmark in all seven NSS themes, including Teaching, Assessment and Feedback, Student Voice, Academic Support, and Learning Resources.
 

Among the most impressive achievements are:

• 5th in the UK for listening to the student voice 
• 1st in London for acting on student feedback
• 1st in London for library and learning resources

Additionally, Middlesex has received its highest NSS response rate to date, with 82% of eligible students participating. This is well above the sector average of 72% and shows a significant increase compared to previous years.

These results are not just numbers—they represent the hard work of everyone here at Middlesex.
